About Me
A bit about me - I'm married and a mother of two, a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a self proclaimed health and wellness junkie, an avid home cook and total devotee to Tracy Anderson Method workouts.
As a former gymnast I've always been active, but after leaving my marketing job at The Wall Street Journal to spend more time with my family, I struggled to incorporate healthy eating and exercise into my daily life. In 2016, after the birth of my 2nd child, I was finally motivated to get back on track. I wanted to see what would happen if I was truly consistent with my diet and exercise over the long-term. So I traded in my routine of takeout meals and processed foods for cooking with real, whole foods a couple of days a week. Over time, my confidence in and enjoyment of cooking continued to grow into what is now a full blown passion. I also finally accepted that getting to the gym with two young kids was becoming increasingly challenging. So I did something I never thought I’d do - work out at home. And now, it’s an integral part of my routine, not only because it’s more convenient, but also because I found the workout that I love.
While I expected to see some results from these changes, what I didn't expect was the discovery of a passion that I never knew I had. Just by changing my diet not only did I find myself in the best shape of my life, but I felt strong, energetic and focused in a way I never had before. I became obsessed with learning all I could about nutrition and the connection it has to every aspect of our physical and mental well-being. In the past few years my interest has expanded beyond nutrition to include many other aspects of health - sleep hygiene, stress management, healthy relationships and meditation just to name a few. I knew I wanted to continue to learn and eventually share this with those around me. So I enrolled at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and upon graduation, turned my passion into a business. I’m thrilled to have found the work that I was always meant to do. Thanks for taking the time to learn about me. Now I’d love to hear your story!
